I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this show yet. It doesn't require much skill... u basically have a 1/26 chance of winning 1 million dollars and a pretty damn good chance of walking away with $100,000+ without having to be smart like in shows like Jeopardy or Who wants to be a millionaire. It's fun to watch, it's simple, but the host Howie Mandel's jokes do get tiresome after a while. I love the whole faceless evil banker theme, the guy always looking to screw you over with as small an offer as possible. Brings a grin to my face.
The best part about the show of course is the 26 lovely ladies... I love how they were all trained to walk in sync... reminds me a bit of the Running Man dance team... they wore black, then red, then blue, then black, and then I believe pink... great outfits! I like #12 the best so far... the cute little blonde looks like Ariel of PERB... but I haven't really had a close look at most of the others... there are definitely some 9's in the lot... The funny thing is... just like real life, the hottest chicks are usually the most trouble... Was watching the show last week with a lady friend and the contestant chose 2-3 hot babes in a row... and they all had the high values in their cases! bam bam bam... just like real life, the hot chicks seem to end up costing you the most money in the end (eg. divorces (whether as the divorcee or the hot chick you slept with that your wife found about which then CAUSED the divorce), high maintenance shopper, high maintenance salon maintained babe, etc.)
I haven't watched it so far this week... I think I last saw it on Saturday... but let's maintain a thread on it... since i'm done with all my other TV show threads... I need a new one to entertain me.
Let's take an informal poll on who the hottest babe out of the 26 is.
Oh, and how does the banker determine what value to offer the contestant? At first, I thought it was a straight statistical "expected" value average... for example, if there was $100,000 left and a small number, you would be offered $50,000, if there was $100,000 left and 2 small numbers, you would be offered $33,000... but then I noticed some oddities, like he was factoring in the "playing style" and "personality" of the contestant and also the excitement factor in his offers... for example, there was one time where $50,000 was left and a small value, but only $23,000 was offered... almost as if to make the contestant go for it to make it more exciting for ratings... that contestant definitely had a "go for it" playing style.
And anybody know how they ensure the randomness and nobody knowing which value is in which case? Apparently, Howie, the banker, and not even the models know... but I say the show is rigged
