Lisa's goin' nuts! what am I gonna do?

Ok I don't even know where to begin. A guy called for an outcall today & I don't usually do them but I had a drive so I said I'd do it. The guy gave me the address but he wouldn't tell me his name or phone #. I told him I couldn't go if I couldn't confirm it with 411. (make sure #,name&address match). He said don't worry about it. I said sorry sir I need the info. So he said a first name & a # that didn't match the one on my call display(duh). I tried again & he said again don't worry , just come. And then hung up!
So I tried to call back. There was no answer at the # he gave me or the one that was on my phone. So I thought what a freak and wrote it off. He also wanted me to come at 4:55. Not 5:00 or 4:50. It has to be 4:55 on the dot. What ever. I figured I'd never hear from him again. THEN at 5:00 he calls me back and screams "Where the hell are you?" and I told him, I can't go without the info. (for like the third time) And he says "well you already have one bad review on perb, now you're finished! & hung up on me.
So what now every weirdo out there is gonna try & manipulate&threaten me? I'm sorry for dumping on everyone but I wanted to say my piece before he lives up to his word & says God only knows. What can I do about these kind of people? Just take it with a grain of salt? But what about my good reputation?
Any suggestions? What do you other indy's do about this kind of thing. I'm tottally stressing over this. He's probably gonna read this and go locos but I don't know what else to do.

You did the right thing, the fact that you have a bad review will not ruin your business. He obviously said that to threaten you.

Don't worry, as an indy, as with agencies, you do screen calls. Now as Duff said, most guys DO call with cells, or don't want to leave their info. I usually only do outcalls to regulars, or clients that I've met before. Good Luck!

good move lisa, you did the right things. Don't put yourself in a situation that doesn't make you comfortable. And I also don't give last names when I talk to a sp. Just my first name and ph number

Lisa, as with us guys, if it feels wrong, it probably was. With all the crackpots out there you have to make priority number one.
I have only given my name out for phone sex because they call back anyway.

Personally, while I know a lot of the guys here will disagree, if I was a professional companion there is no way I would do an outcall with someone if I could not verify their identification. That is one of the reasons when I arrange appointments that I am very open about who I am and can offer ways to relatively confirm my basic identity. For one, it makes things better for me if the girl showing up at my door is comfortable with the situation.

Hey Lisa,

Don't worry about some idiot posting a bad review on you when its crap like that. If this dude decides to follow through on his threat to post it then simple post a reply stating your case as you have stated in this thread.

First and formost, you should be concerned about your own personal safety and wellbeing. Personally, I think you did the right thing as you never know what kind of situation you may walk into. IF IT DOESN'T FEEL RIGHT..... DON'T GO!!!!

Which would you rather be..... worried about a bad review or windup in a situation where you could be RAPED, BEATEN, ROBBED OR WORSE DEAD!!!!

Hi Lisa, sorry to hear about your bad experience today. You definiely did the right call in not meeting this guy. It just sounds way too weird with the exact time thing, avoidance with giving info and...yeah right "don't worry"...lastly phoning back screaming threats

As others have mentioned already, safety should be your utmost number one priority. As for your reputation...not to worry... those who have had the pleasure of your company know your a wonderful young lady. You made the right decision. Take care.

The usual thing that happens is that a poster will attempt to write a bad review.

You will come on and explain: Hey that's the wierdo I was telling you about!

Then we rip the s**t out of him, Mod deletes the thread after we bombard it with support for you.

Then you think "Cool I like PERB"

And then you move on.

Thank you so much every one of you! I woke up this morning still stressed & logged on and read all your comments & I'm soooo relieved & happy now. I'm glad everyone agrees with me, and I'm glad to know I did the right thing. I've dicided to not do any outcalls anymore.(for now) Better safe than sorry right? Of course I would still go visit clients I already know. Oh & i just thought every sp took first AND last names. That's how they always did it at the agencies. Since I've only been indy for 6weeks I know I still have a lot to learn. Thanks again for the support & understanding you guys(gals) made my day!
