In no particular order...

KFC has better chicken (the marination, 11 herbs and spices, etc.)...

Church's offers more choice though... I often opt for the rice or corn instead of fries (healthier)... they also offer roasted chicken which is healthier...

Service at Church's is usually slower... avoid when busy... they don't quite have the "system" down like KFC...

KFC has a drive thru... Church's doesn't...

Church's uses "generic" brand pop... KFC doesn't...

I like the rolls at Church's...

Church's often sends good coupons to local households... I love their "try me for free" coupons and it really is free... I guess there IS such a thing as a free lunch after all... hahaha... but they haven't sent those in a while... it's now try me for $1.89 hahaha.

The chicken sandwich at Church's is crappy and WAY overpriced... $4.50 for a crappy sandwich? They put cheese and lettuce in it and no tomato.... did they actually TASTE test this? It tastes like crap.

For the BARE BONES FRIED chicken and fries, KFC is far better...

Service at most Church's is really good... KFC employees can sometimes give u major attitutude... that is why I usually go to a cutie named Shannon at 1 location...

They always "overflow" the fries at Church's... basically just dump a bunch of fries in their "container" which then gets put into a bag... thus making the bag the actual fry holder... so u get more fry for your dollar at Church's...

You can get some "spicey sprinkle" at Church's, which is essentially a fancy name for seasoning salt at Churchs... this goes well with the fries instead of the regular salt.

Oh, and KFC offers a honey mustard sauce... goes good with the chicken or as replacement for the mayo in their "snacker" sandwiches...

Nando's Tuesday $11.99 special has been getting my "take out chicken" business lately though... they have awesome spicey rice and a killer spring mix salad... KFC only gets my business once a month... the toonie special is hard to resist... Church's gets my business when I get a coupon in the mail... otherwise, I never go to either restaurant without those incentives... too many other good (and healthier) choices.... ah, the life of a bachelor who doesn't cook hahaha.

Anyways, I voted KFC overall.

i find the Chicken at church's to actually taste more like chicken than the mutants at KFC. bigger peices than KFC. and the fries at churches are MCain fries and not over battered grease sticks. i happend to have a job at an office near a KFC that had the 3 peices with fries for 3.99 deal a few years ago. and u could add extra peice or drink for $1 each.

i ate that meal for 4 days for lunch ... and noticed that the more often u eat kfc the worse it tastes. it leaves this film of grease in the back of your throat and only the freshest of Coke's will burn it off with its potent Phosphoric acid.

you can eat Church's Chicken and fries for many days straight and not experience the same sensation and feel content.

both chickens are greasy. the skins on churches chicken are more crisp, thinner and have less batter thats why u taste more chicken and less chicken flavored batter.

thats my 2cents. eat what you want with whatever it can buy you. :)

Church's does have a drive thru.....the one on King George HWY in Surrey, and one on Kingsway and Slocan (Vancouver).

Church's WAS known for the "Big" chicken (like 10 years ago)....but no longer.....the size of their chicken is about the same size of KFC.

Cheers

I lived in B.C. about 20 years ago and there was a place called "Dixie Lee" I think. I used to go there for lunch quite often and it was pretty good. I used to get a chicken and fish combo. Is that franchise still around?

Church's all the way

Church's chicken I find juicier than KFC's. I will concede that sometime's Church's chicken can be a bit bland without the 11 herbs and spices but normally I would go for the Church's. Nando's is pretty tasty as well. There was a chicken place out by Coquitlam center that had pretty decent chicken albeit a bit small. I can't recall the name of the place tho.....

Anyone ever had Mary Brown's....there's a few in Alberta, but I think they're originally from Atlantic Canada....

Had it once driving through Red Deer....pretty good, actually!

Goto Costco and get the whole roasted bird for 7.99 or wings or legs.
Go to American Costcos (Bellingham & Burlington) and the birds are twice as big, much more moist and flavourful, and they only cost $4.99. They are so big in fact, that the meat almost bulges out of the extra large packing.

Church's Chicken used to be a good value. Unfortunately, when a new store opens, the pieces are large, until six months later when they buy pieces that are half the size. I avoid them now because of it.

LOL, I went to Church's for the first time a few weeks ago and had the chicken sandwich. Took 2 bites and tossed the rest in the trash. F**king disgusting, who the hell puts cheese on a chicken sandwich.
The spicy chicken sandwich at KFC is not too bad.

For one reason or another KFC has closed both locations in my area so Ive almost been forced to eat Popeyes. Not aware of a church`s close by though Im sure there is one..Popeye`s is just down the street and they have recently started to offer delivery.Truth be known though..its not too bad at all!

I don't know, I quit eating fast food chicken several years back when, at KFC, I was served a chicken thigh with what could only be described as a tumor inside the meat.

That stuff is poison as it is fed poison. I am not an animal rights person, and in fact enjoy a good steak or poultry (ummm-duck), but just a small amount of research into how the chickens used by fast food franchises is raised, should turn you off that stuff forever. KFT-kentucky fried tumor:eek:

If you never want to eat meat again, read a book called "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser. If you think how chickens are raised is bad, wait until you hear about the cattle and slaughter industries are run.
