It's no wonder that the USA is fucked up these days when pinheads such as this continue with their ill informed diatribes.

"Allah or Jesus? By: Rick Mathes

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their belief systems.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video.

After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:

"Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!"

I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, "Yes."

I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven.

The Imam was speechless.

I continued, "I also have problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?"

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim's beliefs."

I think everyone in the US and Canada should be required to read this, but with the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized. Please pass this on to all your e-mail contacts. (This is not my opinion)

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well known leader in prison ministry.

This is incorrect. To followers of Islam Jesus is a prophet, just Mohammed was a later prophet. In the Muslim faith, I mean the actual teachings not the fanatics, they are taught to respect "All people of the book". This means Jews, Christians and Muslims. Most Musilms ARE NOT on a Jihad against anybody, the same as most Christians aren't out to kill muslims and most Protestants aren't out to kill Catholics. This stuff does happen in the world, but it is not one of the tenents of any of those faiths. If you looked at Northen Ireland you would quickly discover that unlike the way it is portrayed by U.S. Media, it really isn't about Catholics and Protestants. You would find if you ever got outside of North America that it isn't about Muslims killing non-muslims.

I am not a Muslim but I spent time in the middle east and I grew to respect most the muslims I met. I also spent time in Northern Ireland and found gangs and thugs are gangs and thugs no matter how they want to portray their intentions.

This board isn't about love but it is about sex which most days is close enough, please keep the hateful crap off of it.

This was a chain letter circulated mainly in the fundamental Christian community. Google the author Rick Mathes to discover more garbage along with some learned discourse.

anytime someone defines themselves as a "fundamentalist" they're dangerous and need to be medicated before they start fucking with the rest of the planet

don't care if its christian, jewish, muslim, animal rights, environmentalist, insert generic cause "here".....fundamentalists by definition don't have the ability to objectively view their situation and as such will never do anything to foster positive and mutually beneficial change

Those in the fundamentalist camps chose or are trained from a young age to ignore the complexities of the world. Be those complexities social, political, psychological, physical (physical science), or biological. Fundamentalist is a misnomer, “Simplist” is probably a more apt description.

I don’t know what is more dangerous a true Fundamentalist or those who know how to manipulate them into action.

according to the Koran, there are 'believers' and 'true' believers,
and the latter are Muslims, the rest are other faiths ...

the people who are in real trouble are the 'non-believers'
or what we call Athiests.

and for anyone who wants to take a few minutes to read a little history,
the Roman Catholic Church has committed more atrocities
during war and during peace than any other religion!

in terms of massacres, they may not have had the same total
numbers as the Stalin Soviets or the Hitler Nazis etc., but
in terms of percentage of population, they directed the killing
of entire towns and the better part of entire cities.

I'd like to see Canadian government ban ALL religion ... believe
what you want and practice your 'faith' but cancel the tax-free
status and ALL special considerations that these nuts receive.

I agree they should. John Lennon said it all with the lyrics from Imagine.

"Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world..."

So spreading lies and hatred are part of the teachings of Jesus, huh? That goes to show just how un-Christian fundamentalist Christians are.

Sorry expat, your post reads too much like it's untrue and with the purpose being only to slur Isalm. Today's West is too fucking wrapped up in using Islam as a big bad boogie man to replace communism. :(

They way I read it, Expat is actually calling the story crap as well. He pretty well says as much in the beginning:

I think that the piece that you're quoting, westwoody, is supposed to be part of the story and included in the chain letter, not written by Expat as his opinion.

I was a non muslim who was born into a non muslim family and we lived in a muslim populated country. I was raised most of my childhood into my mid teens in this muslim country. And let me tell you my family and I first hand experienced discriminations at every aspects of our lives. We were a third class and almost non existent citizens because we are not muslims. Churches were bombed during Christmas eve therefore people would be afraid to celebrate Christmas Eve at churches. 3 young female students were kidnapped and beheaded because they were Christians. Sunday school teachers were imprisoned because they let children from the muslim families attend the sunday school. Do you call that justice? That's why we moved to Canada

Discrimination often is the end result no matter who constitutes the majority population and the minority population.

The only country you name is Canada. One would think that your story would have more detail to it.

Any Sunday school teacher who would do that in a strictly Islamic country as you describe is asking for trouble. Renouncing the Faith is more of an offence than mere disbelief. Where were the parents? Did the children just wander in off the street.?

The ladies who are Sunday school teachers did not try to convert the children. The children were there out of their own will. Their parents were poor and did not mind at all that their children being at the Sunday school where they were taught how to read and write but the parents were too intimidated by the Muslim thugs to come forward for the defense side. Renouncing the faith should not be an offence since Indonesia is supposedly a democratic country and is not an Islamic country. But these poor ladies were still convicted and currently serving time in prison.

Why is no one talking about the recent riots in India caused by an idiot putting mud on a statue? Lots of people killed, but Hindus and Sikhs don't get any press these days.
