Given the state she is in right now, I agree that no judge could leave those kids with her. It doesn't mean he's any better.. it just means he's not any worse.
The funny thing is I never liked Britney when she was at her best and everyone thought she was the shit. She annoyed the hell out of me, seemed as fake as they get. I thought she was a good dancer but that's about it.
But in a strange way, now I feel for her. It always puzzles me the intensity with which people seem to enjoy watching fall on her face now. Can any of you honestly tell me you would be a sane, well balanced 25yr old if you'd spent the last 10 years she has? Maybe some would.. but I think it would be the minority. Some of you may have turned into gamblers, some of you might have just run away, committed suicide, some might have been just as fucked up but done a better job at hiding it. Whatever, our minds all react differently to deal.
But one thing is for sure, none one of us would have been able to deal with that kind of pressure for all these years while so young without having some kind of major meltdown. There is no "normal" life for ppl like her so what do you fall back on when your reality is so warped? And if you never had much of a chance to experience any other reality, You must be pretty lost....
There is NO way kids are prepared to handle what she and others are thrown into as child celebrities. Children like that grow up into adults. And a lot of them have no idea how to deal with real life.
If you had had crazy papparrazzis chasing you 24/7, people paying millions and millions to read more of your personal life to feel like they either know you or to feel like they are better than you. If on top of that you had had the media picking and criticizing every move you made, everything about you, questioning your decisions, your talent, all of it.... how sane would you be?
There's no question that the choice on where she goes from here is all hers. But I just think how she got there isn't necessarily all her doing. I guess that's why I feel bad for her and don't understand how ppl can not see this for the sad and pathetic state but rather choose to judge and eat popcorn while watching her crash. Does it somehow make them feel better about themselves, their failures and their life?
Personally, really hope she can get herself together, especially for the sake of her kids. I still wouldn't buy any of her CD's but I don't take any pleasure in the fact that her life is a bloody mess.
