I think his decision to sign into residency in Las Vegas was the poorest choice of his life.He packed on a shitload of weight and seriously got hooked on pills.He was surrounded by enablers who gave him everything even though it was bad for him.From drugs to deep fried peanut butter and bananna sandwhiches.....after he started his residency in Las Vegas he got fat and fucked up bad.

Had he avoided that I figure he might have lived to be at least 85......sadly decadence took him down far younger.

I thought he got hooked on amphetamines in the army. The army used to issue Bennies in rations to help people on guard duty keep away and give energy for enforced marches etc.. I thought he got hooked on downers when he got out of the army so he could sleep from the amphetamines he was hooked on and pain pills from a back injury. All this was before he went to Vegas. Bad eating habits were a life long thing but mostly developed when he was young because he grew up poor and never developed proper eating habits. So in the end I think he would have died about the same time anyway, he just probably would have done it out of the spotlight.

He did it his way, the man sure had talent and charisma up the ying yang yet he was also humble. Ive been to Graceland and its not over the top, the pool table room and the raquetball court is really the only Mancave themes there. Im glad the horses are still there and everything is preserved. Across the street its a different story Elvis Presley enterprises is quite the theme park but also interesting.
It was pretty cool to stand at the foot of his grave, his family is buried next to him, you can definitley feel his vibe in his residence. Hes another guy thats worth more dead than when he was alive!
