....and the current method of communication that we live in....dictates that we type more than we speak. Does it?.....nah. The best friends I know and will gravitate to....can speak and express their thinking. I don't give a rip if they can type or not.

Having said all that....how many of you have had resumes pass over your desk with typo's? Or any other document that is purported to sell the seller.....with typo's? Why on earth would I expect the author to have much more to add in life than what they presented upon paper?

Please people, fix your typo's. Especially the obvious ones that we all know that even a basic spell check will catch. It just shows you are interested. If you are not interested, don't send it.

rambling,

eddie.

thank you but...no. I believe only Sperminator v.1 was capable or wonting of correcting said error's. Your comments are meaningless v.2. I will mispell with abandon.

fine....I am wearing white socks....black thermal underwear...and a redwine polo shirt overtop a white pitstained t shirt.....I am thinking that I look pretty good Mr. Spermie. Should I shower or just dab? What about my toenails, if I just shave them off to round does it matter their length? I can do a double windsor but the corporation requires I wear a polyester tie......what will I do???...imagine the pain.

sobbing,

eddie.

done...this is good advice and I will accept it without question. Must I thank you for it? Good manners dictate that I do since it was proferred....or however that is spelled....

Thank you spermy, I will not expose my lack of fashion sense to any other.

kindest,

eddie.

Well, I could be wrong but should the plural of typo include an apostrophe?
I don't think so...just sayin' :D

I can't count the number of resumes I've seen with typos, bad grammar, etc. It's a bad reflection on the person writing the resume. If you can't take your time and double check the document that you hope will get you a job, how can I expect you'll put any care and attention into your work?

Typos or Typo's?

Technically, there's an old punctuation rule that allows the use of an apostrophe in situations where the simple plural form of a noun is being used but where, without the apostrophe, the meaning might be unclear. It would apply in rare situations only, such as: "Today's hairdo's are sexy." In this situation, using "hairdos" might look like some strange word other than the plural for hairdo. (Ultimately, the better option here for the writer would be to use a different term, such as "hairstyle," in order to avoid the murky punctuation issue.)

The option is often applied (appropriately) to pluralized acronyms as well. Example: "Two competing EU's have emerged in a divided Europe."

So, can this rule be applied to the plural of typo? Well, technically it could be, although I don't think there's much chance of the word "typos" being confusing without the apostrophe. But this one is definitely in the grey area, so it could be argued that "typo's" is not incorrect, but is probably not recommended or necessary.

Okay, grammar nerd will go back to reading the dictionary now.

busted....how embarassing. I always struggle with apostrophes and where and when they should or should not be used.

Eddie,

Just remember that if you go to Sperminator for adjusments to your wardrobe, you may still be a mess when he's done with you, but you'll be a SPERMY® mess. :D
LOL...I hadn't considered the benefits of having a registered trademark assist me in the adjustment of said wardrobe.

Thank you for that very well researched reply, it is most useful to me and will assist me greatly in my apostrophical struggles. Such a wonderful research tool this thing called perb.
