Personally I think a lot of "i's" were not dotted and a lot of "t's" were not crossed. There are so many fuck ups it is beyond measure. Most especially with regards to giving medical supplies to China when they are now crucially needed in Canada and proving hard to get from the USA.

More should have been done back in December/January with regards to air travel and isolating Canada from the infection.

I did not mention Trudeau in the title or my critique of what has happened.....but he is the asshole who has hidden out for 2+ weeks in Isolation and read the daily scripts written for him by Gerald Butts.

I'm not a fan of Trudeau's by any stretch, but at least he's comprehensible and reasoned.

Sure there have been mistakes. There have been by every country. A lot of this is a learn-as-you-go process.

In a crisis this large, to expect perfection Is totally unrealistic. While not without missteps, I believe the current government has done its very best in a remarkably difficult crisis. I give him a B+

I voted yes but there should a third option for somewhere in between. It has not been a shit show but has not been well done. Given the two choices, I lean more to yes though. In the beginning there was mistakes made, but as time has gone on, there have been less of those and he is doing ok.

In Canada, the Feds, Provinces and cities have all done generally okay. Not perfect but not venal. There is concern for the people. Trudeau can be faulted in not accepting how truly awful both the Mainland Chinese and the Americans can be.

If you compare Canada to what is happening in the US due to the likes of Trump and his allies, we are far better served. Imagine we had a similar federal government to the US.

A bit slow off the mark, but pretty good job since early March. I give a B pretty March, and an A since March.

Storm Rider, what would you have Trudeau done instead of working from home the last few weeks?

That is pretty much my take on it.Especially with regards to the Deficit. How the fuck on earth do you balance a teeter/totter deficit when you have Trudeau on one end and say an elephant on the other?

With regards to Vancouver saying they are nearly broke. How about some wage roll backs to the public sector as well as changing those golden defined benefit pensions that are indexed to inflation? If Vancouver does not do that then say hello to what happened to Detroit as it is just not sustainable when a large city loses it's tax base.I have seen it for 20 years here in Calgary where companies have moved out of the city to cheaper options.Hell CN Rail bought an entire section of land in Conrich north east of Calgary and purpose built office space/rail dispatch as well as an intermodal facility that has access to the major road ways and CN Rail did so because it was a far cheaper option for the long term.CP Rail moved out of Gulf Canada Square a few years back and had an office building purpose built on the Ogden rail yard as it was cheaper and the companies land rights for that facility date back well over 100 years and they are not paying the same taxes and lease rates than having the headquarters downtown.

I dont care if it is Trudeau or if it was Scheer who was PM.I would have the same criticism all the same as Canada has not had a decisive mind via Government on this crisis.More serious actions should have been enacted sooner including a total lockdown of all people who had travelled to China or wanted to come to Canada from China.

A lot of people are going to have to take a nasty big bite out of a shit sandwich.People will lose their business's and Canadians will lose their homes yet at the same time ALL of our Politicians are sitting pretty and have not a care in the world with regards to the financial impact as they are leaches who feed of the tax payers who are the ones getting utterly FUCKED.

Very few of the viral infections that came into Canada came from China. The vast majority came from Iran, Europe and the USA.

There has been a number of cost benefit analysis done on COVID-19 measures, in economic terms. Almost all of them show it cost more to the economy when less control is in place.
