So the wife and I want to go out. Years back we went to Woody's in Coquitlam when it was booming and was also a quiet hangout for lifestyle crowd which was great. Now its dead. We also used to got Toby's on commercial and had great bands but seems like it isn't rocking like it used to.

Looking for suggestions. Canadian sports bar type atmosphere, live band with dance floor for the wife a must. (I need to be intoxicated to dance so probably won't happen, I will leave it up to the guys to entertain her lol) Good food a plus. Vancouver preferred but can do New West, Coquitlam, Burnaby. Lifestyle friendly would be great but think hard sell other than swinger clubs. (finding a friend, m/f or couple m&f to take home with us is always fun)

Anyways just a place to let our hair down and have some fun for a needed night out.

On a Friday or Saturday night, the bars along Columbia St. in New West are always fully packed and buzz well into the morning. There are three or four places you can check out. A lot of them have a small dance floor and some musicians jamming. Afterwards, the appropriately dressed can head down to the water for a walk or.... the Paramount...

If you're ever down for good food, conversation and a quieter ambience, there's always The Alibi Room, featuring the largest selection of microbrews in town. But it is more of an English affair than Canadian.
