Hello fellow golfers, planning a summer vacation around the Kootenays, bringing the clubs, and looking for any recommendations. They don't have to be big, or fancy, I enjoy everything from a small family run 9 hole course, up to the gorgeous sprawling 18 hole professional ones.

If you're talking West Kootenays, Kokanee Springs, Castlegar GC and Christina Lake are ones I've enjoyed.

Shadow Mountain is a hell of a golf course, elevated tees, gorgeous scenery and very well taken care of. Located right around Cranbrook

Rossland is a tough course, Birchbank in Trail is good as well

I can confirm Rossland is a tough course...a worthy challenge.

(You might have to be a cowboy that spends an awful lot of time in a over crowded sorting pen to get this one)
