Time For a Rebuttal

I have been talking to Jesse as of late and she asked for my great financial wisdom (likely, given I cannot even manage my finances well enough to Poon regularely) regarding her increased utilities costs. Thanks to Ralphie's deregulation her utility costs have increased by 40% over the last two years.
In my great financial wisdom, I told her there were only three alternatives:
1. Do nothing and eventually shut down (God forbid);
1. Go back to the old 30 minute room fee at $25 (yuck); or
2. Increase the room fee to $30 for all visits of up to an hour (bearable).
Let me just start out by saying that it is certainly within Jackie's rights to increase her room fees as she so feels and if her client base has no problem with it, which probably the majority won't. It's her buisness and she can run it as she sees fit.
But PLEASE trawler, do not give us this stuff about how hard done by she is and that closing the place is even an option due to the increased prices of utilities and such. We all have to bear the same rising costs in our personal lives and most everyone seems to be getting by. This place is an ATM machine. I'll provide you with some numbers and then you can tell me if I'm wrong.
To start with there are 8 girls working per day (4 per shift) Let's say on the overall average that they each see 3 clients a day. That's taking into consideration that the popular girls like Sydney, Ariel, Katrina & Shawna will be seeing 4-6 a shift while the others will be about 1-2. So know we have a total of 24 clients per day times $25 room fee = $600 daily. Now times that by 365 days and that comes to $219,000. Even if she's paying half of that (which would be on the high side) to rent, utilities, etc, that still leaves over $100,000 profit. And with all this I'm not even including the shift fees that the girls pay her or the money she makes during her own personal sessions.
My God how I wish I had that type of financial trouble. I put this akin to the major banks when they tell us that the're losing money because they only made $150 million last year as opposed to $200 million the year before. That's why all my bank fees have to go up.
Again I want to reinterate that is certainly within Jackie's rights to set the costs to what she sees fit, but it is also our right as the consumer to decide where and how we want to spend our hard earned money. Only time will tell.
