re: making 6X more than me. What a sorry shot in the dark! I guess one of the first things people from Hong Kong say when they judge another person is how much money they make in comparison? Curious. Now I confess I know only one person from Hong Kong I can call a friend, and he'd never act like that I don't think... but he's normal. Some people are just wacko, even if they say they are "MD"s. The Standard practice as insult is to compare paychecks to degrade the other person.

it is a low and uncalled for blow... My Dad does it all the time towards anyone he doesn't like. Most of the time it's kept behind closed doors (the comments) but if it does brew out, the first thing a Cantonese person cheap shots is how deep your wallet is compared to his, or a member of his family.

It really pisses me off, because sometimes my parents judge my friends and their families in that manner where there will ALWAYS ask, WHAT SCHOOL DID YOUR FRIEND COME FROM, HOW MUCH or WHAT DOES HIS FAMILY DO...ending with... DON'T HANG OUT WITH THEM! Why not hang out with your friend who is a lawyer---type of thing.

I apologize if I offend anyone... But the PM that GBM got REALLY reminded me of my families moronity at times.

GWBM - I proudly state it is my primary financial goal to reduce my annual salary to $0.00 (US or CDN I don't care).

When I reach my goal all of those with a much higher annual salary than mine will be very jealous of me and my life style.

The only sacrifice I think I will need to make is to cut back on my pooning budget so I can afford more Viagra.

I think Drew is referring to the post where he asked what a Micro and an AMP are. He sent me a very similar PM. In the post I poked fun at him in a tongue in cheek manner and then clearly stated it wasn't personal. GWB said something like "Drew75, you stupid".
