Dump Microsoft Internet Explorer in favour of the open-source Firefox web browser.

I've been using it for several months now and would never go back to IE.

It's faster than IE, blocks popups, doesn't run malicious code which infects your PC, is customizable, it's free, ...

You can even get it to filter out ads (banners and Flash) by instructing it to stop loading images/code from sites such as doubleclick.com and akamai.

Less than a 5 meg download.
