It's finally starting on Friday!

Gotta love this "Grindhouse" inspired trailer for the Friday night double bill block of Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse!

I told myself I wasn't going to add any new shows this year to my repertoire (which I did, anyway...) but I can't resist Eliza... :D

Plus, like you said, being with Terminator on the same night will help...

It starts on Feb 13th. (this week)

I'm a big fan of Joss Whedon's and I'm so excited for this one.

...although I just noticed - what's with the douche beside her in the red shirt?
And the homo in the sweater vest with the mushroom cut?

I don't really watch series on tv, but this one doesn't really look all that promising anyway. The actors are way too young and the quality of acting will be it's downfall, unless it's aimed at 12 yr olds.

I am a sucker for Sci-Fi so I'll be watching this one. I just hope Fox will give the show a chance cause I'm sick of getting attached to a show only to have it canceled.

On another note, I was just wondering if anyone is still watching Lost. I have been a faithful since Season 1. All my friends have since stopped watching for one reason or another. I think that that is a shame because this Season and parts of the last one is just blowing my mind. Most of the answers and payoffs are happening in this Season and the next, being the final one.

I watch Lost. I enjoy recording it and watching it later, then watch the rerun the following week that airs just before the new episode. The rerun always has captions (little facts and reminders about the show and the characters)

Good to know that there are still a few Losties around. I usually do the same, watch the 1st showing on my PVR then watch the "enhanced" episode as they call it. Then finally a marathon when the DVD comes out.

Are all the time traveling this season making your head spin as well?

Amen.... I'm STILL pissed they cancelled My Own Worst Enemy (even though that was NBC, not Fox)... that show was great....

The pilot didn't really blow me away but I'm probably going to keep watching for the time being. So what did you think of the pilot?

I also enjoyed it for the most part. Like most pilot or premiere episodes, it was a little rough around the edges but there were enough interesting potential sub plots introduced that I see promise in this show. I did find much of the music underwhelming though. Often, it didn't really feel like it matched the rest of the tone of the show. Still, I'm looking forward to watching it as long as FOX is willing to give it a chance.

I'm not sure about the other question. Was Olivia Williams in Ferris Bueller's Day Off? I think she was in The Sixth Sense.

I was trying to take it all in the first time watching. It was surely intriguing enough. Cool concept with seemingly endless potential for story lines. I checked it out a second time and enjoyed it even more. I agree the music was a bit weak. Sexy, fast paced and with an ever changing lead character...I'll be watching.

I stumbled onto the show and quite liked it - isn't the woman who is the head of the Dollhouse the girl from Ferris Bueller's Day Off?
I sort of stumbled across it as well, watched it for 3 minutes.

The part where there's a kid taken hostage and the boat pulls up, obviously a deal is about to go down to trade for the kid.

There's one fuckin sniper and he himself pretty much has a clear shot of all of the bad guys. so really there is Her, a guy beside her and an idiot sniper who doesn't shoot anyone.

And then she drops to her knees because she senses they won't see the kid again....after they complete the deal which of course means the hostages are keeping the kid.

Not a great start. This is why I don't watch TV programs. All of you guys must be under 30. Which is fine, but it's not a quality show right now, but maybe it'll get better, but I'm not gonna waste my time waiting for that.

Well, it pays to watch a little more of a show written by someone with an actual imagination. You missed the jist entirely and it's too bad. She was imprinted with the life memory of an actual person and collapsed because her current mission (or engagement as they call it) put her face to face with someone who had kidnapped the very person who's life memory she was using. She was having flashbacks of memory's that weren't her own. The sniper is her handler and is only there to protect her NOT interfere with the engagement. They weren't out to catch the bad guys or bring any justice. Just exchange the ransom money for the girl. her flashback reminded her of this guy who never let's his victims go.

Joss Wedon's shows need to be absorbed. It's not really a skim for 3 minutes type of deal. he is brilliant and has a lot to offer for those with the minds to grasp it...although, I had to record it and see it a second time to fully wrap my head around everything. It's a pilot though and as with all pilots (including his very successful Buffy the Vampire Slayer that ran 7 seasons.) Give it some time. They have to introduce all the characters and intrigue us in one hour. it's worth another look.

I'll be watching.

To be honest, it didn't turn my crank...

I found myself bored about 30 minutes into it. I will give it another shot this Friday, but if I don't find myself hooked right away I won't bother anymore...

Friday Night .....

I'd have to agree with Blazejowski. The pilot last week wasn't that good. It wad a little slow in the start. In the end, it felt a bit flat. Yes I enjoy looking at Eliza, but she can't act. I enjoyed the first two seasons of Tru Calling, but Dollhouse isn't much different.

I'm going to watch Feb. 20, and see what happens....

The pilot was 6.7 out of 10. This show needs better writing, better acting, and even then, Fox is likely going to cancel the show before 5 episodes air.

Sorry, but it's true.

Ps Let's see some more Eliza skin !!!!
