i don't see how anyone in this day and age can see any type of animal cruelty or mistreatment as amusing, funny, just a joke or entertaining.
I have images in my head that I will never get rid of horrible animal cruelty that should get the perpetrators the death penalty.
Tons of research has shown that people who perpetrate cruelty towards animals typically go on to do the same to people.
I spent two hours last summer in the middle of the road warding off cars after someone had poisoned a cat and she had crawled into the middle of the road to die. We couldn't move her and had to wait for the spca while drivers yelled obscenities and wanted to drive over her to get where they were going. I didn't let one fucking car by, helped the spca take her to the vet and paid for her medical bills. because of the damage done to her by the poison she eventually had to be euthanized.
I'm sure you find that amusing as well.

LG, I agree with you that shaving a cat is cruel, although who knows this pic might have been digitally fixed up. Also, sometimes vets need to do this if the animal has a skin condition that needs treatment.
having said all that ... whatever you do, don't go check out the piranaha and rat threat. That one had me unable to sleep and nauseous for about 2 weeks

don't even want to think about the rat and pirahnas ... someone should shove that assholes head in the tank for the pirahna's to work on for a while.

That's the reason for having a cat ... don't have to comb them, take them for walks, or otherwise tend to them. Put kibble in the bowl and they look after themsevles with the added bonus of keeping the house mouse free.
