Did anyone see the CTV news feature on Tuesday PM about a Mom
who felt her 16 year old daughter had been lured to advertising on CL.

The Mom's face wasn't shown neither was her daughter but she indicated that she had had a boyfriend who bought her nice things and now he had her
advertising her services on CL.

I guess my thoughts are: who she might be so as to avoid an encounter with a minor. Also is there any one or monitoring this kind of thing?

They were showing CL on the "gig's" section where people are looking for adult employees and also the "erotic" services section used frequently by the SP's.

I am in SW Calgary
i think this happens more then we would like to see...
i firmly beleive that this is a trade for ADULTS and that even at 17 you are just not wise enough to the ways of the world to make a straight educated choice to be here...
if you go into a situation and there is a VERY young girl there.. and you have a doubt.. i think it would be better to be safe then sorry.. just my thoughts :)

Mya is exactly right. My niece was lured in by some people very easily, using similar tactics. We were just lucky someone in the family(me)is a hobbyist, and secretly found out who and how they advertised. 17 and 18 yo are not mature enuff to see whats really happening till its to late. We were lucky, many are not.

While your intention might be to avoid an encounter with a minor, there are likely plenty of pervs around who would like to know who she is for the exact opposite reason. Mentioning any names in this thread is not a good idea, and frankly anyone who does should be banned from the site permanently.
