Is that really a thing? Is the demand for pooning on credit really so high that BP ads will advertise that they take Visa/MC/etc? Personally I wouldn't use that in a million years, but are there others who would?

I would never trust any sp with my credit card info, or with my personal information like that. You would undoubtably have to cancel your cc to prevent further charges, if you were so bold to use it in the first place.

I have used email transfer with providers many times but only with SPs I repeat with. This is very discreet.

EB/TO is the only place I've used a CC, and only for the room charge. They've been in business long enough to be trustworthy for it, the listing on the bill doesn't look suspicious, and in any case for me there's no one to worry about seeing the bill.
