If you are ever in Winnipeg the best place to go is Baked Expectations on Osborne Street. Finding a place to park can be tough in that neighbourhood and the line up to get in can also be a tad long. Once you're in your taste buds will thank-you a million times. :D

In the summer, I liked to get dressed nice & go to "C" and get a cosy table on their patio and share a gourmet dessert and liquer pairing

I don't see why you couldn't do just the same at other similar restaurants...

I think it's super romantic to feed eachother sinful bites. Like if you and your lady had just shared a show or evening out and wanted a little something sweet before going home for "dessert"

Mortons's (steakhouse) Molten Chocolate Cake dessert and a Morton's Coffee are another favourite of mine
Bin 942 does a chocolate fruit fondue that's fun but they dont serve liquers
Sutton Place hotel does a chocolate buffet on a certain day of the week or month... Sandi Laine told me about it....still on my "to do list"

I've never been disappointed by the dessert creations at West, Blue Water Cafe etc...a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds...

And I think if you cant make arrangements for a table (though it never seems to be a problem later in the evening hours), a beautiful dessert sitting closely at the bar has proven just as fun

Vancouver - sort of
The Sutton Place chocolate fondue is to die for. You might even spy some folks from the film industry.

Death by Chocolate (name says it all) has a number of locations, not sure about the alcohol angle though.

cheesecake is yummy but

Glowbal's very sharable enormous orgasm-in-a-bowl banana split...homemade icecream, mango, chocolate, sauce anglaise, warm deepfried banana, a tumble of glorious gooseberries...is this girl's sweet cryptonite!

What no one goes out for dessert anymore
I go to Tim Horton's at least once daily. I don't believe they have cheesecake though. Love the coffee. :)

Take her to the Harbor Centre Rotating Restaurant for dessert. Go at dusk. The view is so awesome she will stay with you there for hours.

Great place for coffee and dessert is Madison Grill at Union Bank Inn on Jasper Ave in Edmonton. The service and food is also great there.

My personal favourite for a warm evening is Seasons in the Park – a quiet table in the bar area with deserts and a few drinks, followed by a frolic in the garden.

Chocolate Fondue

I really enjoyed the Chocolate Fondue with Aimie at the BIN 942. We devoured the entire assortment of goodies and there was still chocolate in the bowl.
