I’ve been to a couple of places in the past couple of months where I noticed a peculiar issue with the time and clocks.
As with most incalls there were the ubiquitous clocks on the wall at the places in question for both the SP and client to keep watch over the time.
At both places I booked for 45 minutes and during the amorous events I would take a quick look at the wall clock to keep an eye on time remaining. I also wear a waterproof watch that keeps perfect time and basically never comes off my wrist. In general I find it’s easier to steal a glance at the wall clock than my watch on my wrist when doing the deed.
Time is elastic, but both of the sessions time seemed to go by quickly. As I was leaving both places I did a quick check of the wall clocks in both places against my watch and they were both 10 minutes fast … hmmmm.
There may be a lot of reasons for this so I’m not going to jump to too many conclusions.
Maybe the SP wants the client to think that they’re getting extra time? Maybe a lot of guys run late and this is the easiest way to move them out? I’m not going to out anyone, but I will disclose that it was one indie and one agency, so it could have been someone else who set the clocks or the clocks may have just been running fast.
In any case gents, it’s just something to be aware of.
My new approach when I arrive is to check the wall clock against my watch or phone and if they’re not synched I’ll just say, “hey, it looks like your clock’s running a little fast.” And leave it at that.
Happy travels.
