I was just doing a bit of searching on the site and found a thread from mid 2010 with the following link in it. The reason I bring it up is that I have recently seen ads that still feature pictures of the very lovely girl from this set. This girl's selfies have been lifted from the net going back to the old CL erotic section days! Rather than necro a thread that's just over 3 years old at this point, I will just post the quote with the link here:

So, thanks to jon6491 for finding that link all those years ago! :D

Pictures taken long before cellphones had cameras.
According to the date stamp on that site, those pics were posted there February 2010. Assuming the images were actually also taken around that time (I know that could be a false assumption but still, this is all in fun anyway... :p :D ), I got curious. So, just for fun I did a search to see when the first cell phone with a camera was released and I found the following link:

http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/camera-phone-history/

It actually made for an interesting read. I remember friends having some of those early cell phones with cameras and some of the pics they shared with me through emails. According to the linked article, some of the earliest camera phones came out between 2000 and 2002, depending on where in the world one could aquire them.

So, technically, the images of this woman, which have been liberally and oft stolen for ads over the years, don't necessarily predate cellphone cameras. Although, we can clearly see in many of the images that she appeared to be using a dedicated digital camera.

However, if you do scroll down through her many images (and why wouldn't you? The girl is beautiful! :D ), there are a few that look like they may have been taken by a camera phone...

Look at the camera resolution available on a cellphone back then. VGA (640X480) or worse. Her pictures are at least 2MP or more when you look at size and lack of pixelation. It's really the iPhone that started to drive the increase in cellphone camera ability. My new Samsung Cellphone is 12MP which exceeds most cameras available in 2010.

According to the article, Nokia had produced camera phones with a 5MP resolution by 2007. I'm not really arguing the fact that most of the images were indeed clearly taken with a dedicated digital camera though. It's obvious in most of the shots. I just posted this for fun :) (and as an excuse to post some pics of a cute girl ;) :D )

And looking at the phone she is holding .... how many young people these days are using that type of phone...? Really.....
If it's not IPhone. ... then it's Samsung.... not too many other choices for blending in....

True that. I used Nokia for years and in 07 I think it was an N95 and N86 I used. Sort of a slider keyboard Star Trek type phone. It was their attempt at a Smart Phone but you had to synch it with their Nokia desktop software which was not well thought out.

In one of those pics she is using a clam shell Nokia from a similar era. Big clunky phone even by those days standards.

Interesting thread :thumb:
