Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
This story illustrates how banks in Canada have become so ridiculous in the charges they pass on to their customers.
First off they want to charge this guy a fee for an armoured car delivery just because he walks in one day and wants to withdraw HIS money and then the dumbass manager at the next bank initially refuses to accept the money because they won't be able to charge the fees normally associated with an electronic transfer.

heh heh... time to trot out my favourite recent banking story... :)

i was looking around for the most advantageous rrsp plan a few months back, and ended up sitting across the desk from a very nice looking, mixed race dragon lady at a bank downtown. at one point she asked me if i would like to 'establish a relationship' with them? (i don't know what happened to 'opening an account', i guess it's part of history now) so even though i knew exactly what she was asking, the devil inside me took control of my speech mechanisms and i blurted out, 'i would LOVE to establish a relationship with YOU, but no, i wouldn't be opening an account with the bank other than the rrsp account.'

dang bank should invest in some heating equipment, because it sure got awful chilly in there. i guess i should count my lucky stars that she didn't call the sheriff on my ass :D
