Anything Wrong with "cruising"?

I know this may sound crazy, but I was wondering if anyone enjoyed cruising for women outside. I'm sure you know what I mean. It's really easy to go to the nearest escort provider, and have service provided for you. For some reason, I have always been up for cruising...

In Winnipeg, I used to cruise on Ellice and Sargeant streets. Also, I would frequent the Selkirk Avenue strip, along with King Street. Sure, most woman would be considered "sub-par", but on occasion you find a gem in the rough, and it's the thrill of getting caught that has always excited me.

Anyway, I no longer cruise very much at all. in the late 90's, it was almost an addiction. I had some really interesting experiences.

That's how I got started in this years ago: cruising through the Exchange District, around the Mount Royal and out to the Kings . . . got some very pleasant surprises! And some nasty ones too . . . I'm thinking the price of gas and the possible vehicil seizures are dampening the cruising spirit a bunch!

My intro was Exchange District too many years ago (*Patti*). Things were different then. Cops more less left them alone back then but now they're all gone.

As for the other areas of town .... it is and and always has been a very different ball game. To each his own but I will not cruise anymore because it's a huge risk on both fronts - cops & providers. I've heard way too many horror stories on both sides from ppl I know.

Nah I like this topic better, sry lol ...... While we're on a roll recalling our mis-spent youth, I met so many good ones at 222. That was my next stop after the Albert St era. *Nicole*, Tiffany, Cindy, Jasmine, and a slew of others. Ya the rooms and showers maybe were not the best blah blah but the previewing was great (way better than Broadways) and I usually got good service at a decent price.

I travel Isabel at least twice a day and have never noticed any obvious SW's along there. I used to see a lot of them along Ellice and Sargent, but they were scary looking. Always doing the funky chicken herky-jerky body movements from whatever chemical high they were on.

BTW, I am not at all promoting "cruising". In my mind it's a great way to get arrested, knifed or to catch something really nasty. I know that for some the risk is an added thrill, but THINK about it!!

I was thinking the same thing Avery.

I drive by Isabel a couple of times a day as well,they are there, closer to Logan. Just look for the white street connection van handing out condoms and safe crack kits.
They still hang around Arlington and Ellice as well, a buudy of mine was making a delivery to 7-11 and one girl asked him for a light and then asked "would you like to fuck my face" same thing exactly happened to me when I was filling up at the Husky across the street last summer.
Stay away from those girls, they are mostly native crack heads that will just as soon stab you as blow you. Mostly all gang controlled and very dirty.

I've reviewed this thread quite a few times and each time, shook my head.

Seriously, dudes, isn't there a quantum leap between streetwalkers and the truly independent SPs? Perhaps I'm just lying to myself, but part of the fantasy on my end is knowing that:

1) I'm not involved with someone who is being forced to do what she is doing by someone else;
2) I'm giving my money to someone who gets the full benefit of my money;
3) That if I adhere to numbers one and two, I'm not contributing to the ruination of a human being just to get off.

I know you can't be absolutely sure, but anyone working the street is doing it out of desperation, to provide money to an abusive, controlling force in their lives, or to satisfy an addiction of some sort. Or both.

I'm quite frankly surprised some of the opinion leaders on this site didn't provide the smack down a lot earlier to those who think any streetwalker "really seemed to like what she was doing."

Or maybe I'm just a deluded hypocrite.
