It certainly has a strong resemblance to the Challenger of old.

Oh My !!

I'm almost in tears !!!:D
Finally they are coming up with something that represents what it was
all about, the muscle car era.

I love how they are using the rally hood and the body line down the
side is exactly like that of the old E body Challenger and Cudas,
not to mention the side windows as well that caught my eye right away.

The Front grill area and especially the tale light panel depicts that of the '70
Challenger, very f***ing sweet to say the least.........

Now where did I put that 528 crate Hemi........Geeeeez I wish !!:D
Now if they would bring back the Cuda !!
I could have a modern one and my racing street/strip one !:D

My hats off to the Chrysler boys.......it's about friggin time you guys !!
Much more retro looking than the Charger for sure.

Yeah, '70 thru '72, the R/T's hmmm. They sure got it right on this. I would love to see the interior and under her hood.

I've heard rumors that they are going to unveil a new Camaro in the next couple of years as well but I was a Mopar fan for quite awhile. Always wanted one of these (or a 'cuda or an older Super Bee. Challenger's are expensive as hell nowadays; but this'll do, uh huh.

CS, man am I with you on this....even as a kid in high school, oh about
a hundred years ago!:D I didn't really know what I liked, saw all the great
mucle cars, Fords, Chevys and what not, don't get me wrong there was some great Fords and Chevys in that era, and grew up in that era, then one day heard this thunderous ground pounding roar come up the road into the
high school.
I took one look and said what the hell, holy mother of god did it sound
awesome, the guy lifted the hood and I got my first look at the elephant,
a 426 street hemi '67 B5 blue GTX.......God I was in Love.

The guy slammed the hood down got in the thing, jammed into first gear
(Yes it was a four speed car), up the street for as far as the eye could see roasting the rubber off the thing. Since that day on I've been a Mopar nut.

It wasn't until my mid thirties till I could afford a classic Mopar, owned a 72
Challenger 340 pistol grip four speed, loved that car, then a little later got
the machine I own today.

A 73 Plymouth Cuda which I race at the track, I don't mind outting myself
on this one cuz I am very proud of this machine and yes she is my baby.
I mean anyone can see it at the track on any givin friday night street legal
races at Mission Raceway so what's the point of being secretive about it.

I keep the car as stock "looking" as possible except for the center line rims
and a hood scoop, but when you fire that bitch up man and you grab the wheel, put your foot into (on the street that is), it's a whole
new experience on how to hang onto a wheel............WoooooHooooo!!

I will forever admire the classics of that era, (that includes the Chevys
and Fords but just won't own one. :D ), we just won't see anything
quite like it again for sure.

Light 'em Up Man!!! ...........:D

I knew that I didn't like the AMC excepty the Javelin. ALL Mopar, Pontiac GTO's (65 thru 67). Never really cared for the fords much but had plenty of friends with them.

In 1976 I bought a 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T in green when I was 17 and I had a 1964 Corvette Convertable, Red on White (Orig. was Red on Red), 327/365hp. Was originally a Fuelie head but someone had taken it off. I sold that in '85. Sheez, I wish that I had either one now, worth a lot of $$$. I was in my mid 20's when I had that Vette. Dude, talk about a pussy magnet!!

It's a '70 but still sweet. What color is yours? Got a pic?

I like the whole resurgence of hot roddish cars. Looking back at the Chevy SSR, and the plethora of Chrysler products that are more like the older "Hot Rods" (Prowler, PT Cruiser, etc.) )I see that it was inevitable that it would come down to using the vintage '70's style eventually. I say, let's GO!

It's good to see them getting it right one more time unlike the new version of say, the Pontiac GTO.

I wonder if the new Challenger will have modern renditions of their original colors. I see that this is orange, will they have a "Plum Crazy" and "Lemon Twist".

P.S. I forgot to add to the above list the new Mustang which, even though I wouldn't own one, I must say that the finally got it right after 25 years of trying.

I think the grill could be a little bigger myself, but I do like the b-pillar and the rear. Kind of has a pony car look, but more muscular. The roof line looks a little too thick though. Nevertheless, a handsome car. I wonder how it'll sound??

i really hope that they dont make a model with a 6 in it. it is such a shame when car companies make these beautiful cars and put wuss engines in them.

that is a damn sweet looking car. and im not even a dodge fan.

It would be great to see a Bullit remake with the new Charger against the new Mustang. I wonder if they would survive jumping down the Hill in San-Francisco?
only one way to find out ...
