I was looking for advance voting for the fucking Eby called waste of tax payer money election and found this:
Register to Vote | Elections BC
So we have to register given the short time frame. No voter card being sent to you. Or register when you vote.
I encourage everyone to register online or definitely at time of voting and make yours count.

I have not missed an election for as long as I can remember, election of any kind.
No voter card for the provincial election, civic election, yes and I already voted for that.

Got my Telus bill for home services today and noted the amount was higher. Got into the finer print and this came up:

Taxes increased from $xx.xx to $xx.xx (GST/HST $x.xx + PST-BC$xx.xx combined). This tax increase resulted from a B.C. government mandate that removed PST exemptions as of October 1, 2026. This update is a government requirement across the province. For more details, visit www2.gov.bc.ca/pst or click here (or telus.com/homephonenews) to read more.

Now I have to wonder if Eby and his tax policies are also hitting utilities with the same thing.

Aren't all the promises Eby is making things they could have done any time over his last two years as premier, or the last decade the NDP has been in power?

Why don't the Conservatives campaign on the weekends?

The campaigning so far has been pathetic, weekdays, weekends etc. The one predominate attack ad where the NDP show 5 leaders in a year and change for the Conservatives is about all I see the rare times I watch the news on TV, or hockey ... I see few lawn signs, hear of no debates etc. This whole election is a fucking waste of money, time and effort. I just hope Eby et al get decimated and frankly if its right wing nut jobs, fuck it, just get these incompetent fuck ups out.

Instead of lett8ing Eby dig his own grave with stupid promises, the Conservatives are falling into the trap of trying to match, or outdo the promises. It could cost them, in the polls, but if they win, it will certainly cost them credibility and blow huge holes in our already fragile economy.

Watched the mayor debate for Vancouver City (on vancouversun.com). Sims was the only one out of place, weak responses, hesitant, tried that can't we all just get along shit. Could not speak to all the city has lost during his time. All others came across as well prepared, presented their platforms, stated their views and so on. I see this municipal election as an Anybody But Kims event.

Unless the other candidates in my riding are utter cretins, I will not vote for Eby and his party. For me, Horgan was fine overall, unusual for an NDP leader, but Eby is just a disaster with his policies and inability to spend within the province’s means that been mentioned before in this thread.

Watched the debate, and it was underwhelming. Not a Green fan at all, but Emily Lowen held her own despite being obviously nervous, inexperienced and young. Her policies are still nuts, but she looked good.

Eby is unable to run on his record of failures, so has resorted to fear-mongering with no basis in fact. The fact he harped on racism, while ignoring it in his own party, was very telling.

Doerkson did his job, introducing himself, and appearing reasonable.

Agreed all accounts
Ms Lowen needs to lose the dangly earrings and work on her hand gestures. (Frankly, I was hoping for a bit of a body shot as I was thinking it might be nice to bang her, not vote for her).
Doerkson needs to take a public speaking course
And Eby needs to just go away.

Eby has become more repugnant than Trump. Eby lies and smiles and pretends he’s taking the high ground while bankrupting the province and screwing up everything his electorate hold dear. Street crime, drugs, homeless, massive spending, enormous debt, messed up Dripa big time.

Fucker has got to go. Put a brick wrapped in tinfoil in charge of BC and it will do better than Eby.

Punt’s take on B.C. Civic Elections:

- Sim-ply one & done for Ken. Vancouver has another “Petey” to bitch about now.

- Fun times in Surrey—“Doug Gets Things Done” stages a massive comback. Rallying the South Asian community to victory.

- Brad West shows how politics should be done, again. People appreciate honesty and forthrite representation.

- Richmond nail biter sees Ron squeek one out over Alexa. “Hey Alexa, record the election results for me”. Lol. 3rd place didn’t Kash in with 11111 amazing votes!

- Victoria repeats, along with a number of other boring races.

- New faces in lots of places—winds of change were in the air last night. We’ll see some cream raise and some curds fall.

==> Now on to Provincial Elections. May those winds of change sweep Eby and his gang of incompetent over-spending under-delivering pompous cretins out into the street gutters.

Nothing beats putting fear into people. Especially Canadian because Trump isn't liked here ( media creation which is all left winged run imho ) so why not play what's at hand. Bad Ole Trump lol. Many Canadians need their hand held it seems. Quite obvious too. Oh, watch Global, watch CTV, watch CBC, they never let us down. LOL...ya, sure!! Fail at something, blame someone else. That's the classic take. What a joke.

Surrey is the perfect example of how vote splitting gets you an insane result. Linda Annis and Brenda Locke were buddies for years. They had a falling out and Linda running for Mayor split those votes and handed it to McCallum, who has no business running at 80 plus years old and a ego of Trumpian levels.

As for Vancouver, ABC got what it deserved. They had a supermajority and fucked it up with arrogance, stupidity and an agenda that didn't address the real issues in Vancouver.

For me, Richmond was the most surprising result. Brodie’s endorsement of Rob Howard obviously carried a lot of weight.

Brodie resigned after that brief travel scandal and behavior involving the Europe trip, and I would’ve thought Richmond voters, especially with the high Asian population, would’ve chosen someone else based on their culture. Then again, Richmond has always had a longstanding culture of political apathy and boredom: only 3 Mayors in 53 years.

Burnaby’s re-elected Mayor last time in 2022 had no opponents and won by default. This time there were several.

Surrey's outcome is the perfect example of how Trumpism is very much alive, and the majority of voters lack intelligence or have that part of their brain shut down in terms of being misled or lied to.

I think it'll be interesting to see if Eby's gamble plays out and if in the US, the Republicans are victorious or even Trump decides to say, "I'm not going anywhere, what are you going to do about it."

I have to ask if anyone in Richmond is going to jail or at a minimum required to pay back the 100's of K$s stolen in the gift card thing. Or maybe they all got themselves unelected and got out of Dodge.

Another election of “hold your nose and vote”. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out tonight and into tomorrow. Early results are favouring the Cons
