I suggest making your limits and desires known in advance, so as not to catch the lady by surprise. As Newb808 said, don't take up a lot of time with pre-visit discussions, but since your wishes are a bit unusual, make sure they're known in advance.

That depends on a person's inclination and ability to walk. I'm an old guy, not as fit as I once was, but when I'm in the city I walk everywhere from Stanley Park to Gastown and Burrard Inlet to False Creek. Mind you, for a visitor to the city who isn't familiar with it, an Uber or something...
