    I went to see The Great Gatsby movie last night. FANTASTIC MOVIE! Of all the movie versions, this one is the most faithful to the source material. I wore my red and white striped cotton seersucker suit that looks pink from a distance of three feet away (Gatsby wears a pink suit in the Plaza Hotel sequence) with brown leather and beige canvas wingtip spectators; white shirt, and a striped tie in light navy, yellow, and red. I received no less than six (or was it seven?) compliments from various people I passed on the street as I walked to the theatre. Even the down-on-his-luck homeless guy who asked me for change complimented me on my suit.

    2013 fashion will be influenced by, of course, the new movie The Great Gatsby (in theatres Christmas Day 2012). Expect a renaissance of 1920s decadent fashions. The Jazz Age lives again! :)
