My sympathies to all those and their families who were killed and injured in the Halloween party crush in the Itaewon district of Seoul, South Korea. I visited Itaewon off and on 10 years ago and I am sure that some foreigners were also killed and injured in the disaster.

I have tried to find them at Walmart, Simons, the Bay but most retail outlets don't have them. Are they still produced? My father always told me to keep one in the pocket just in case.

Anybody willing to bet if Canada will make it to Qatar next November 2022? Is anyone here going to watch the Mexico Canada game tonight Nov. 16th in Edmonton? I will just say will be in a third place finish in the CONCACAF division and will be in the World Cup.

Does anybody still subscribe to a morning newspaper here in Vancouver anymore? Seems the Vancouver Sun has only a few stories per pages and, of course, little in the way of advertising. Can two daily newspapers survive in this town or will they merge the Sun with the Province or vice versa?

I wonder how a large number of rail cars filled with oil can roll backwards for 7 kilometres, derail, explode and kill an unknown number of people in a small town in Quebec. Negligence, sabotage? Could it happen here in BC, Alberta? Maybe a pipeline is not such a bad idea.

What if the bully is your boss, teacher, an authority figure of some sort in the workplace, school or college? Can you beat the crap out of them? There are some people who made other employees or students suffer a living hell, are retired and now live on a pension from those workplaces that...

Worked as a concierge on Christmas Day ( 8 hours ) in one of the apartment complexes in Yaletown/False Creek. Bored as hell, one patron asked for tickets for Aquabus, which was not operating that day. I received a Christmas bonus of $50 but no overtime for that day as it was a part-time job...

Watching men's or women's volleyball is mine. Beach volleyball not so much. Can't care less for fencing or yachting. Waiting for the track and field only because it's the Olympics.
