One of my favourite sayings has long been, "Just imagine what you'll know tommorrow." Well, I learnt something new today and thought I would share.

As many know, I'm a sadist. I've never delved into electrical play, oh sure, I've read all about it and looked into it but I always thought it was rather on the "fluffy" side. I want to hurt, sensual is fine, but I really like to hurt.

Well, today I was on the recieving end of a violet wand and some of it's delightful attachments and I have changed my mind. What a delightful toy, leaving little to no marks and such a wide range of sensation, not at all a "fluffy" sensation unless you want it to be. It can be most painful, I keep looking for welts or something to indicate what I felt, nothing but a few small red marks. :O And, he said he was going light.

Very interesting. There's always something new to learn, I love that about BDSM. You could spend a lifetime and still learn so much. Now, I know that some of you are far more experienced in electrical play than I, as this is my first first-hand step into it. Another cherry popped. I'm interested in hearing about this form of play from you, from both sides.

I've always been more into impact (floggers, paddles, canes, whips), but this is really a very neat eye-opener for me. Anyone want to share a more experienced vantage point?

Do you have the mylar flogger? It's not intended as an impact toy. If you crank the wand up to high setting, run the flogger along the body, letting the tails barely brush the skin, it can leave little burn marks that will take a day or two to go away.

I've had a violet wand used on me 4 times. I'm a bit ambivalent on how it felt. The sensations weren't quite what I expected and didn't leave me wanting to try it again.

I like the small Hot-shot cattle prods. I've been wanting to get hold of one for a while. Since I have an address that's smack dab in the middle of a major urban area, online retailers are reluctant to sell me one. They are kind of funny in thinking that I don't intend to use it for agricultural purposes. One of these days I'll have to make a trip to a feed lot store.

I haven't tried a tens unit yet but want to. The vaginal and anal probes look so wonderfully sadistic.

I don't personally own any electrical toys yet, like I said, never actually bothered delving in there. I'm going to have to change that. I did get to feel the flogger you speak of first hand though...wow. Very prickly. I'm left debating the sensations, completely different,.

I've seen the tens units online, watched a few videos of it in use. That looks very interesting.

Hmmm... I agree that on lower settings, it does feel kind of like that. On the slightly higher settings, I only guess it must have been higher, it was quite intense at times. There was one attachment, round...looks like a suction cup but isn't....wow. A comb looking attachment, now that was sharp and zappy.

I've always been into the bursts too but this has got me thinking. It can be ongoing or short zaps which really caught my attention. Just when I thought I had gotten used to it and could handle it, the sensation and attachment would change.

Gee whiz, when you ask like that...honestly, the thing I like about it is less about how it feels and more about how it looks and sounds. For a newbie who has never seen one before, to be helplessly tied down when I bring out this big wierd looking thing, with it's intimidating electrical 'hum' and strange light...that is almost more effective then the actual sensation of zapping them.

I've only put it on high with one personal subbie who is already used to it and likes to push his pain threshold. All other clients I've jost gone lightly with. It's always been a part of a more complex session and not the focus.

I can tell you from my subbie days waaaay in the past that I didn't like it being used on me. I also use it on myself everytime I use it on someone else to check the intensity/for safety...and I don't really dig it. BUT I don't like most pain which is one of the reasons I made such a lousy submissive.

Those who like it, like it a lot. I'm not sure who else in Vancouver owns one as they are about $500. So clients interested in trying it out, or my latex vac bed (also around $500 so not found in many dungeons locally)...or any of my many other toys can contact me to discuss.

Ah, yes, the violet wands... I purchased a 'Violetta' violet ray on eBay a few years ago (the things you find if you think to look...), a kit from the early twenties. It came with a fifty-two page brochure that was almost worth the price alone. It outlines how the violet ray harnesses the "mysterious, magical power" that is electricity so it can be used to cure basically every ailment known to mankind. An amusing read.

I love the variability of it, how it can go from ticklish to painful, from short, intense spurts to long, drawn out sensations. I do find, though, that there are times I love it and times when I want absolutely nothing to do with it. I've used it both in and out of scenes; sometimes, just using it on a lower setting with a friend while talking, purely for the novelty of it (I highly recommend the soles of your feet while wearing socks...).

Punt tried Ms. Violet 4 times. The first was sooo sensual and erotic it worked magic. (It does go well with bondage and a domme in a shiny leather corset - grinz). The second was good too - nude giggly tease/torture session, like intense tickling. The third was more painful, and being a pain wuss, it was interesting but not something I would crave regulraly. Violet Wand is Fantastic!

There's so many things you can do with a violet wand, it's almost endless.

Depending on who's holding the wand, you can make your fingers electric while touching lightly.

The standard way, obviously, with multiple attachments that all produce different sensations.

Needles....conduct electricity... (for wand or 10s unit.)

10's units are fun too.

But, both have their place.

I have 3 violet wands, though 2 need fixing. They are all antique, and beautiful in their own right, without even turning them on.

I've never played with electricity, short of taking a dare as a child, licking a nine volt battery...It's on my presently list of Hard Limits - but the more I read/hear about it, that Limit could melt flaccid for the right Domme and situation.

However...

I have a fabulous kitty of almost three years now. A Tabby. I got him wild, rescue from a life in squalor.

He usually comes to sleep on the bed between my legs as his favourite spot. Occasionally he will crawl under the covers, and I'll llet him. Sweetness.

Well, I don't have one myself, and don't have a lot of experience with them.

But the other weekend, during the re-intro of a femme sub to bdsm, her Master put needles making a square on her breast, and then attached the 10s to complete the circuit on both sides.

That's only one way of doing, and quite intense. I fucker her with a strap-on once the circuit was on, and that was the last time she passed out!

I'd say I'm a fuck-god...or maybe it was the 10s? haha
