Pride Parade!!!!

So I went down to the west End and took in the Pride Parade this year.
Big turn out both in number of people in it and people there to watch.

I was wondering if any Sp's take part at all. Lots of S&M stuff through out the parade. Wonder why Carmen Fox or another agency does not not have rep. in the parade.
There were many a good laugh and strange sights. Makes me wonder about who you see walking down the street some days.

Anyway it is great to see such a big crowd come down and support it.
It has been a few years since I was there last. It keeps getting bigger.

I am not gay, I go to watch just to show my support and have a good time.

I was at Pride - I love it! Its about being inclusive and expressing yourself. It helps that I live on the parade route. You may have seen me not in the parade but around Sunset Beach area - I was in the french maid costume doing promo for my friend's company

You'd support the parade because its not just about 'fruity shit'. I'm not homosexual myself nor bi-sexual for that matter. But we can all agree that homosexual people and people who choose alternitive lifestyles are oppressed in our society. The parade is about acceptance .. not intollerance.

Wow. Some comments in this thread show me that we still have a looong way to go in our society. Getting out and supporting the gay movement does NOT mean that you are gay. Well, ok. It does mean your gay to an infantile teenage mind I suppose. But for the most part, showing your support is simply saying that you support freedom of speech and expression and individuality.

...Those in the know, and who actually go to the parades, understand that girls can be gay too. Besides showing community support, I would say that many many hetero guys go because many many lesbian girls are topless for both the parade and the beach.

Do you know what Gay-phobia means? I mean when you say keep your sexual pride to yourself, and 'don't impose your gay pride on you, doesn't that make you alittle bit phobic? Are you afraid you'll get the 'disease', Pride is just a day to celebrate another form of 'diversity'. Being, gay, lesbian, transgendered, etc, etc and they're celebrating in a relatively and I'm sure they didn't come up to you and say - hey be gay or die!! I was at pride and it really is an enjoyable exerience! Lots of guys and hot gals. Maybe because they know they won't be hit on.

We need a pooner's pride day parade. We are the ones who are (mostly) still in the closet.

It would be a sight to see. Float after float of practically naked SPs Families with their children can make a fun family day. Maybe we can even get the police to participate in the parade instead of harassing our massage parlors on that one special day
