Forget about Thailand for now, I live there, and they haven't even done mass vaccination yet, and we are still in a Lockdown, all bars and pubs and night life are closed and still getting over 2,000 cases a day. Also Thailand is a rip off, they scam you every change they can get.
You haven't been to Vancouver lately and seen the skyrocketing prices for everything have you?
If you think food for $2 a meal and pussy starts $40 is expensive for Thailand, you gonna go nuts when you come back here and see how relatively cheap and good you have it there
Thailand is totally fucked, I would go every year, 2-3 times pre Covid but now? Its over. I bet its a decade or more before any kind of mass tourism resumes. By then, who knows what the country will look like.
I would still go myself during these times (if no quarrrantine). Living is still cheap there, food is excellent, easy to find girls even if bars/clubs are closed. I have contacts of girls lined up who would eagerly meet with me if I came, they are desparate to make some income again. Easy to meet new girls on Thaifriendly, and they have a local version of LeoList with way more girls and lower prices than here.
But in terms of tourism recovery, the minister said it may take up to 5 years to be restored.
5 years is generous, with that military thug in power it will be much longer i'm afraid.
I believe they're going to do a targeted vaccination drive - so vaccinate 70%+ Thais in Pattaya, then only admit vaccinated visitors. Basically any person stepping foot in Pattaya has to be vaccinated. It might work.
