And Leolist is changing how we pay for our ads again, personally i dont pay with bitcoin, i just use my debit card, now im thinking that we can only pay with Litecoin, i tried emailing them and asking if i can continue paying with my debit card and not using Litecoin, but you know how good they are at answering questions, they just keep sending emails on how to pay with Litecoin, ummmm im not asking how to do it.

Not that difficult. Have to get a wallet, I currently use exodus, easy mobile app. Then just go to a bitcoin atm (high rates) or I use https://vancouverbitcoin.com/ on Burrard. You get a deal when buy $2,500 or more at a time. Even in smaller amounts its still way cheaper. If you don’t want to deal with a wallet you can just have them put it directly on your leolist gift card. Just have them scan your QR code on your account. Less network fees that way also. Cheapest way to go

Instead of buying bumps just charge your gift card then you can buy whatever works best for you. Just gives you a credit on your account. I get only 4% fee when buy 5k or more at a time. Cuts down costs.
Im not concerned with the fees, what im saying is i dont want to use bitcoin or litecoin, ive always just used my debit card directly, cash out of my account, no coins involved
Not to derail the subject but this is one of the main reasons people get their bank accounts compromised, using debit online (and using debit generally). Once the account is compromised, so is all your money. The bank may open an investigation to recover your funds but there's little incentive for them to do so.
If, however you use a credit card for the same purpose, you're not responsible for any fraud unless you were blatantly negligent. And there is every incentive for the bank to investigate it since they cover the fraudulent charge.

Ya well, leolist is impossible, they wont take my credit card, only my debit card, even though i dont owe anything on the credit card, lol, i only purchse $170.00 at a time, they keep asking if my credit card is a Canadian one, it is, but there payment thing says its not, even though they used to accept it for years
I think they lost all their processors for credit cards and debit. Visa MasterCard are all based in the United States where prostitution is illegal and advertising for it also, so Leolist has been having an ongoing problem with their processors stopping processing payments. Over the years I’ve seen this happen three or four times, sometimes it takes some months to get another processor.
I’m sure they’re not happy about it but they really don’t have much of a choice. I guess you won’t have much of a choice either other than not using Leolist anymore if cyber currency is something that you don’t want to deal with.

Their withdrawal fees are probably really high with BTC, Litecoin is a less popular crypto
Exactly this whenever someone asks me why there aren't more competitors. If someone is willing to figure out all the payment processing and various legalities of it, I'll build them how ever they want.
I wonder how popular a low tech approach would be. If it's just for Canada, money orders are feasible and can be fast tracked but with little anonymity. Cash to a safety deposit box but with a delay would be a possibility but the number of customer support issues (why haven't you received my money?) would be a small logistical nightmare.

They charge by the euro for looks to distance themselves from the American Dollar. Not sure why they didn’t do in Canadian at a higher rate per bump that was equal but maybe they want it to look cheaper to the eye by going euro lol. Kinda like $9.99 looks cheaper that $10. When you work it out you are paying either 3.43 euro for verified or I think 4.5 euro for unverified looks better than $5.12 and $6.72 Canadian per bump. They get to charge what people will pay and since there are not many other options they kinda have a monopoly. When you go to bump your ads on leolist don’t forget to have your lube ready. Ads only stay on page one for about 35 minutes noon until 10 pm.
Leolist doesn’t accept it but another crypo exchange service does that they give a link to. Not affiliated with leolist.
End of the day looks like there won’t be any choice but to buy crypto to pay for bumping and it will have to be litecoin only soon which doesn’t really matter to me which coin they use. I have been using crypto only now for probably 3 years because of ease of topping of individual gift cards on multiple accounts.
