I must say I find it to be a turn off when I get called either of these appelatives. Txt, call or face to face.
Civilian dates, sp's, receptionists, girls that I met several times or girls I never met - in either case it drives me a bit crazy, I don't know why.
Maybe because it's very impersonal and the more personal the relationship, the more I hate it. I feel like the person doesn't even bother to personalize the communication. I can't stop thinking that people using these words are dealing with a great lot of people and don't want to or just cannot remember people names. Or they just do it on purpose or reflex in order to avoid calling someone the wrong name.
What are your experience with this? How do you feel about it?
As such I always avoid calling girls babe or sweetie. Do girls care about being called this way?
