question about protecting myself

as we all know, Canada's laws are such that she can sell, but he can't buy (i can't believe i just typed that nonsense...). and as a client, i'm realizing there's very little info out there on how men can protect themselves/their safety.

so my question to you fine folks is this:

- how do you vet a new SP? how do you make sure she's not police bait/trap in disguise ?

- also: how do you make sure she's legit & not using older/outdated pics that are no longer representative of what she looks like?

- how do you make sure that when you get there, there wont be a buncha thugs looking to extort me (or worse)?

- how do you protect your privacy? i just read a bunch of old threads in this forum (the border agents banning you scares me, in particular). i'd obviously use a texting/calling app & never give out my real name to the SP, but any other ideas?

(btw, my location is Greater Vancouver region)

Simply, go and see the well reputed ladies initially. Do lots of research here as well. You will learn it pretty quickly.

Dude- there are no guarantees with anything.
Protecting yourself as a man should be inherent.
Read reviews and go from there.
If you are paranoid, too timid or lack the confidence to take a chance then DON"T. Simple.
Only see well reviewed ladies if you have concerns.
Don't let strangers into your home.
Don't go to motels.
If the ad says "likes to party" then that should be a red flag for you.
If the location is really sketchy then blow it off.
If thugs lie in wait then either man-up or run like hell. Fuck- in daily life you could be mugged, get caught up in a bar fight or sidewalk scuffle, be run over by a car, be bullied at a sporting event- even be hit with shit at Timmy's- it sometimes happens. Seriously- don't put yourself in a position to fail or be a target.
Get a burner phone.
Don't take your laptop through customs if you are afraid to have it examined (HIGHLY unlikely).
Use your life skills and common sense.
And grow a set of balls- this is the real world.
Having said that I've been seeing SPs for about 20 years- and SWs for 30+ years and not had any issues of consequence. Been pulled over by the cops twice and had uncomfortable conversations. Been disappointed and Bait/Switched countless times. But I'm aware of shit around me and not afraid to TOFTT.
Chances of any of what you've mentioned happening is quite remote.

I have never had any problems with police my entire career, except in Calgary. I went there on tour and was told not to see anyone on an outcall I do not have references for. So towards the end of my trip I get a request for an outcall at one particular hotel/motel (can't remember the name). I politely declined the offer. The "client" asked "why not" and I told them my thoughts, I said "I think you're a cop" and hung up the phone. About an hour later I went on the Calgary review board and the board was on fire with rumours of a sting going down AT THE SAME HOTEL that called me. My instincts were right. The reason I told you this story is that the community was talking about the incident right away. I don't know if they do client stings in Calgary too but if it happened they would talk about that. And also things are different on the west coast, I personally have never heard of a sting happening here. Never worry about cops.

As a popular and very well reviewed sp for nearly 4 years (just recently out of retirement) I never had one issue with police. Mind you, it was before the Harper Gov’t messed everything up. I really believe the police are only interested in the girls who are being pimped out and possibly trafficked or are underage.

If you’re looking for young young young looking, you may be asking for trouble. Find an Indy lady who doesn’t look like a teenager and you’ll be fine!

1) Perb and sites like this are the best way to protect yourself with information. Ask smart questions, and you'll get smart answers back. How do you vet? There is no perfect method, other than try to pick up on certain patterns of behavior. Just lurk, a lot.

2) There is no guarantee who is who from the internet. Best you can do is take your chance, and if you meet her and she's not what you thought she was, just walk away.

3) Then stay out of Surrey, lol.......But seriously, if an SP's Incall is in the dangerous parts of the city then I wouldn't bother personally. Especially if it's a motel, and you notice custom "fast n' furious" type cars parked in front of the very room you were asked to meet in.....

4) As said before, get a burner phone. Get a ZTE Jasper smartphone at London Drugs for $80. No ID, or credit check (give them a fake name when they activate the phone). Go to any 7-11 to buy pre-paid cards to add minutes/texts; you could charge the minutes to your CC, but if "someone" was to read your CC statements, I'm betting you wouldn't want to answer those questions? The whole point of the burner phone is to quickly toss it away and to easily cope with losing it if you were to get robbed.....Yes, you could use apps, but it's your expensive current model smartphone on the line.

Just like a burner phone, bring a "burner wallet" with you too. Keep your ID and CCs in your shoe, or under your car seat, hidden zipper in your jacket, anywhere away from your planned event. Bring all the money you are willing to spend and/or lose; and I say it like that for a few reasons, if the SP is that good, like really good, and you want to spend more for more time/services then bring extra,...but as you say, if you think you're going to get jacked, at least you can mentally/emotionally prepare yourself for losing all the money you brought with you, but at least they won't have your CC and ID and take more from you.

I live in BC, and travel a lot within.

I'm a novice hobbyist too, been with a handful of ladies myself, but most of my knowledge is from researching forums like this; and it's served me well with those few experiences.

Legal/police issues? None.....

You mentioned the stupid current laws, and like it was implied before, those laws were made to affect the sex trade at the street level; meaning to stop the exploitation of the desperate and destitue, by attacking the demand instead of traditionally going after the supply. So cruising around in your car just makes you a target for the police to pick you out. But this site is more about escorts, professionals, those who are willingly consenting to the trade. They who write their own personal rules for their safety (and yours). If you visit some of the professionally created websites from SPs, you sort of pick up some of the language that help rationalize against how those laws are written. Like "consenting adults", and "donations"...... if you share that same sentiment, then worrying about legalities won't be such a burden.

"other sites besides perb", in terms of seeking knowledge for this hobby? Anywhere, like reddit, 4chan, worldsexguide for the basic do's and don'ts.....but perb (IIRC) is made for western canada areas, while I'm sure there are other escort review sites for other parts of the world too.

ironically, a big part of my fears come from having read many of the old threads in this forum, and all the horrible experiences some of you guys had.
