Oh gosh!!

Prostitution should be legalized so police can focus more on other real crimes. We are lucky here that LE just lets us do our thing. I am sure there are undercover detectives working here as well, but as long as we keep things clean.

I remember listening to Mitch Levy a lot on his "Mitch in the morning" show. Feel bad for the guy.

Guys, please do NOT bother with Seattle Tacoma Bellevue Region. Stay in BC or a flight to Mexico for p4p. This place is a hellhole, I think of leaving everyday except for $$ shortage atm

Police will even out your name. Check out this link. A radio talk show host was outed by Bellevue Police. Mitch Levy of KJR radio.

Fixed that for you honda! Maybe this explains the sudden influx of calls I am getting from Washington state numbers...after all, I am less than a 10 minute drive from the border when I am at home! On a serious note though, I think this is just heinous, expecially the publication of the names....terrible!

With all of the severe - more serious - problems we see occurring in the world, yes, it should be legalized. Cause for action is when underage, assaults, illegal imports or deadly harm arises. Other than that we are ok here. Luckily.

On that note. Have any of you heard if "clients" actually got arrested since Bill C-36 was reinforced?

Isn't what Bill C- 36 is aimed out to do ? I, personally have never heard if anyone in Metro Vancouver being busted. Unless, they are not enforcing the law.

Some important points. First, the Seattle area crackdowns have been on AMPs/Micro Brothels, almost exclusively. Not one independent has been targeted. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen crossed the line from clients to pimps and even micro owners, again, those guys who stick to indys were never outed or targeted. All of this is going after human trafficking. Use discretion in your choices and you will be fine. That said, there's nothing wrong with staying home and seeing local ladies, and paying Canadian dollars. Head to the island or the interior or Alberta/points east if you are looking for some variety. Or keeping driving and try Oregon or California or even Nevada, where brothels are legal, Reno isn't that far away.

No matter what, use your big brain, not your little one and if you are seeing a woman from out of the country who may or may not be here of her own free will, you might want to think about that choice a second or even third time. When C36 has been enforced in Canada, it's gone after human trafficking as well for the vast majority of the time.

My purpose in posting this link is NOT to discuss prostitution in the United States. Heck, we don't even have a forum for United States jurisdictions, here, and my position is that if it's not legal in your nation or jurisdiction, don't do it.
1) Actually, perb does have a Seattle sub forum:

https://perb.cc/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?24-Seattle

2) Since December 2014, it is illegal in Canada, (for those who like to play the semantics game) at the very least on the client side of the equation.

On that note. Have any of you heard if "clients" actually got arrested since Bill C-36 was reinforced?

1) You and others have asked this before and it has been answered repeatedly. Yes, there have been numerous arrests across the country since Bill C-36 became law. Many of those news stories have been shared on the forum.

In fact, here is a recent thread from the Winnipeg section:

https://perb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?241106-John-School

While it's not clear if he was actually arrested per se, this member's story certainly involves being caught in a sting.

2) Again, the VPD policy regarding enforcement of those laws has been repeatedly posted by members of this forum, one of which even included a fun little animated YouTube video. But the caveat to this has always been that this policy is specific to the VPD (and I believe Victoria's police department may have put out a similar public policy statement at one time but don't quote me on that as I'm not certain about it) and every other city and municipality in the GVRD could choose to enforce or not based on their own policy. Also, some jurisdictions are RCMP jurisdictions and do not have their own police departments. I believe Richmond falls into this category. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit to note: In at least one of the news reports about arrests in Canada, the names of those arrested were published and if I recall correctly may have led to a court case by one of those who was named. I no longer remember the specifics though and don't presently have time to research and link.

MM thanks for posting this. Yes, I have asked this before and I am aware that the V.P.D zone does not enforce it, unless reasons I have specified above. That said.....my question was in terms of very recent news. Also, I am not on PERB as often as I once was so I may not be up to date with recent news or occurrences.

Understand one thing about America. Much of it's ideology is driven by entrenched organized religion which feeds the political & LE system to go after "these bad guys". Same way smoking a joint was, for many years, a path into prison if you were convicted.

As for legalized prostitution. Legal doesn't necessarily equate to "good". But if you want a legal sex trade, then go demand it. You are the voter. The reason the Port Mann has no tolls now is because..of the effect of the voters. The reason cannabis will soon be legal is because of the voter. No reason why the sex trade can't be. But ranting away about it here won't change shit.
In Seattle and the surrounding area's case, it's a function of feminists groups, LE cash grabs (court cost, civil asset forfeiture, fines, John School) and political aspirations that has fueled the surge in "End Demand". Like Honda, I can't wait to leave the area as it has become toxic.

Hey Honda

Who is pushing this agenda? Seems the Bellevue Sheriff has in the past with an Asian sting.

Who above him are doing it? State attorney? Governor? Or is it a US DOJ Federal initiative?

Bellevue is targeting the knuckheads on the Eastside. These tech nerds apparently did not use the internet they invented and search Bellevue Prostitution. They easily could have seen in 2015 the Bust and the ongoing risk here. BC is 2.5 hrs away why risk a criminal charge and possibly being outed in public.

Too bad if he is fired, Mitch Levy was one hell of a good radio personality if he is just focused on sports and not tits and ass.
The Puritans probably will win and he gets canned for good.

funny how seattle is so uptight when it comes to erotic stuff, yet just over the river in portland they are so much more openminded. 2 full fledged clubs that cater to people coming in, meeting people and having sex on premises. lots of strip clubs, as well as lingerie clubs (jack shacks).

My suggestion to those who want to get laid in Seattle and Washington is to work on your pick up artists skills. Yeah you have to work for it but at least you get it for free and without a criminal record.

Wow. I always thought Vancouver was "Just over the river" from Portland. Seattle used to be a few miles up I-5. Things can change pretty fast now.

haha. funny. my point was two cities so close together having such opposite views. and yes before you say it a two hour drive is considered close together. now i suppose you will analyze all the bottlenecks on the drive down to prove that it's a 3 hour drive.
